Project Overview
PT Makikai Global Indonesia has successfully completed the delivery and commissioning of a hardness testing machine for a customer in Indonesia. The machine is designed to support high-accuracy, non-destructive hardness measurement for industrial manufacturing applications.
The hardness testing system is equipped with a German-brand sensor based on the eddy current principle, enabling fast, reliable, and repeatable hardness inspection without damaging the product surface. This technology allows real-time quality control directly on the production line, helping customers maintain consistent product quality while improving inspection efficiency.
By utilizing eddy current technology, the sensor is capable of detecting various process-related errors, including: Incorrect heat treatment results, such as under-hardening or over-hardening, Inconsistent material hardness caused by unstable process parameters, Variation in material structure due to improper quenching or tempering, Mix-up of materials or grades that do not meet specified hardness requirements, Process drift over time, allowing early detection before large quantities of defects occur
The machine is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including inspection of automotive components, machined metal parts, heat-treated products, and precision components. Typical applications include shafts, gears, bearings, fasteners, and other steel or alloy-based products used in automotive, manufacturing, and metal processing industries.
